A personal note from Doug: I've scoured hundreds of hours of cassettes, internet tracks and personal collections to bring you these excerpts of Frank Rehak's finest recorded solos alongside Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Gil Evans, Woody Herman, Charlie Barnett, Bill Watrous and other important artists from the '40s, '50s and '60s. I've also included ultra-rare (and fantastic) tracks from his time in Synanon, including multi-track experiments he and I created and a trombone suite composed by Ken Elias only months before Frank's death in 1987.
